Hurrah! It’s a Hurraw! Lip Balm Review Bonanza

As a self-professed lip balm snob/connoisseur/appreciator/junkie/addict, I like to think that I have seen it all when it comes to lip balms. I really haven’t though, because I was living a life without Hurraw! Lip Balms. Hurraw! makes lip balms that are natural, organic, vegan, raw, and cruelty-free. The lip balms are trend-setters themselves because they come in an oval tube instead of a round one. The oval-shape makes my life so much easier. Seriously. They have not once rolled over the desk and into the deep dark abyss behind the radiator in my apartment. They also happen to make lip balms in the coolest flavors I have come across.

Finally, someone has heeded my demands for a good tea-flavored lip balm. Now, if I can somehow get Hurraw! to make an English Breakfast Tea lip balm….*STEEPLES FINGERS*

The lip balms come in the most adorable USA-grown cotton tea bag. It’s reusable! Awwwww.

Here is a swatch of the Black Cherry Tinted Balm on my hand. You can see it’s a very subtle gloss of color.

Thoughts:

Earl Grey- The Earl Grey lip balm is my favorite flavor out of the three lip balms. The lip balm itself is extremely creamy and glides across the lips effortlessly. I was actually surprised at how creamy and soft the texture of the balm is. It’s definitely not a gritty and hard waxed balm. I really love the creamy texture and I felt the balm sunk into my lips better because of it. As for the flavor, I felt like I was hydrating my lips with a milky cup of Earl Grey tea. Without actually having to drink the tea itself! The bergamot flavor saturates the entire lip balm and I love it. Sometimes too much bergamot in Earl Grey tea throws me off but this lip balm has the perfect amount of bergamot.

Almond- The Almond lip balm has the same creamy and soft texture of the Earl Grey lip balm. The flavor is equally amazing. It has the tangy nuttiness of a really good almond cookie. In fact, it reminds me of those Chinese almond cookies that my family buys on special occasions or holidays. Mmmm, delicious.

Black Cherry Tinted- The Black Cherry Tinted lip balm is a very fascinating product. The reddish color comes from an infusion of the Alkanet root and the strength of the color depends on the Alkanet Hurraw! has picked for that particular batch of Black Cherry Tinted balms. The balm, once again has that creamy texture of the two other balms. It has a very strong cherry flavor. I’m starting to see that Hurraw! does not go light on flavoring their balms. I love that! As you can see from the swatched picture above, it’s a very nice but subtle wash of color. I find, on my already reddish lips, that not much color tints my lips. It does impart a nice glossiness to your lips. So if you are looking for a double-duty lip balm, Black Cherry is the one for you.

In conclusion, all three lip balms amazed me. I am definitely keeping an eye on Hurraw! and will be possibly buying all of their flavors. All of them.

*Special Note: The lip balms were sent to me by the company and I did not purchase them with my own money. I will always disclose to you, if I purchased the items or not. I assure you I will never accept compensation or even free products in exchange for favorable reviews. I make it clear to both brands/companies and to you (my readers) that my opinions are always my own and never swayed by outside influences.

YES! Thank you! 🙂 I was totally thinking of that too. The cute little dimple is very lifesaver candy-like.
