Sabon is a company that makes amazing skincare items like soaps, body butters, and body scrubs from ingredients made in Israel. Most of their stores are located in New York City so I’m lucky to be able to walk past many of them and not be able to resist going inside and touching everything. There are also three stores in Chicago so go forth Chicagoans! For those who live in neither cities, Sabon’s website should do the trick.

Alas! The Vanilla Coconut Sorbet Body Gel is no longer being sold on the website. But they do have Fig Coco and Violet. The Delicate Jasmine, Kiwi Mango, and Sweet Summer scents are currently Out of Stock. Sabon’s reps are lovely people and I have once called them about Out of Stock items and they happily tracked down a remaining item for me.
I picked up Vanilla Coconut because anytime “coconut” appears on anything, my brain immediately thinks I must have it. The Sorbet Body Gel is a very interesting product. It’s sorbet and gel-like but also creamy like any other body lotion. When I spread this on my skin, I get an instant cooling sensation. The only thing I don’t like about the Sorbet Body Gel is that there is an initial stickiness to my skin. After a couple of minutes, it goes away and my skin is happily smooth and hydrated but there is a sticky quality to it. However, it smells like creamy coconut and the glass jar is just so lovely. I am definitely going to reuse the jar for something else.
